Tree, Grate, Leaves

I was wandering around downtown Chico a few weeks ago when this scene caught my eye. I thought, "Hey! That looks like a photo Dave Beckerman would take." Click. So, Dave, if you're reading this, this photo is a tribute to you and your work.

Shrub Skeletons

This is the first image that I took for my Bidwell Park project. I haven't posted it before now because I couldn't get a scan from the print I have that looked decent. This scan was made on an Epson flatbed scanner, and it's at least good enough for the web. It really needs a drum scan to pull out the fine detail, especially in the branches of the white shrubs.

This is also one of the first landscape images I have created that I feel is truly artistic. I was drawn to the contrast between the shrubs that look like skeletons and the green cliffs. When I found this arrangement of curved bushes, I knew I had found an image I would love. I was right!

Icicles and Cascade on Ebay

I've decided to run a little experiment. I've listed an 11x17 print of Icicles and Cascade on ebay. It's a piezography print on Hahnemuhle photo rag, and the opening bid is only 49.95. This is a chance to get this print for far less than my usual selling prices.

Hands and Handprint

Here's an image from a recent set of photos I took of a couple of my kids. It was created with my Nikon F100 and 50mm lens on Kodak T-Max 400 film.

Gallery Photos

Just before the Bidwell Park Tribute Exhibit finished up, I took a few pictures of the exhibit and people looking at the exhibit. Here are a couple of them:
