Gary

The other day I took Gary out to find some nice locations for pictures. So many bushes and trees were in bloom, and I had to take advantage of that. He was a great sport and hammed it up nicely for the camera. He was pretty excited about having his picture taken. He has an awesome smile, doesn't he? It was a bit challenging to catch the light in his eyes though, because he naturally squints when he smiles. I think the highlight of the afternoon for Gary was climbing into trees. All in all it was a lot of fun. Thanks, Gary, for being so fun to photograph! I hope you enjoy your pictures. Here are a few of my favorites.

Baby Shoot - OSP West

The final shoot that I got to participate in at OSP West was a child and baby shoot led by Dawn Tacker of EOS Photography. Several of the photographers brought their kids to the studio, and we split up into groups and took turns taking pictures of the different children. The light in the studio was simply amazing, and these are a few of the images I created.

Thanks for leading us, Dawn. You did a fabulous job!

Pismo Beach Bridal Shoot - OSP West

Saturday afternoon at OSP West, we did a bridal shoot in downtown Pismo Beach led by Kenneth Morgan. By then, the rain had slowed from the downpour that we experienced during the morning engagement shoot to a few sprinkles. Here are my favorite photos from the shoot. (Thanks, Kenneth, for leading us!)

Avila Beach Engagement Shoot - OSP West

Saturday morning at OSP West we had an engagement shoot scheduled at Avila beach. The problem was, it was raining. A lot. Fortunately, our models were willing to brave the nasty weather, so we all threw plastic bags over our cameras and did the shoot anyway. It's a good thing too, because the pictures that resulted are beautiful, romantic, and different from the typical dry weather engagement photos.

I'd like to say thanks to John Michael Cooper for leading this shoot!

Robert Hall Winery Engagement Shoot - OSP West

The first shoot that I got to participate in at OSP West was an engagement session at the Robert Hall Winery led by photographer Mike Larson. The vineyards were bare because of the season, but the architecture of the building on the grounds is very beautiful, so we made good use of that during the shoot.

Thanks for leading our shoot, Mike!

Josh and Ethan

Our friend Josh and his son Ethan were over at our house a couple of months ago for our daughter's birthday party. I grabbed a couple of pictures of them while they were outside hanging out.

This photo uses a new film/developer combination for me: Kodak Tri-X film and Ilford ID-11 developer. I love this look!
